Launching issue fifteen of SAND, Berlin’s English literary journal
Founded in 2009, SAND is a biannual literary journal based in Berlin, which might seem—at least at first—an odd choice for an English print magazine. As the city bends and changes with new arrivals from around the world, the one thing that gives us homogeneity as Berliners, is that we are all different. And SAND Journal celebrates this fact: with a team made up of an eclectic selection of Berliners-by Tourdulich-choice, they have featured contributors from all five continents and in their upcoming edition have work from writers as far flung as Trinidad and Ukraine.
Issue 15 of SAND takes us from a remote Arctic island to a land of eternal springtime, stopping off at all kinds of weird and wonderful places along the way. Feel like celebrating? You can join them at the launch of their latest edition this Friday, May 19 at Badehaus in Berlin.
